Fury Cove Layover

Chug at Fury Cove
Spent the day enjoying Fury Cove and waiting for the weather to change.  Lit off the genset to charge batteries, heat water for showers and do laundry.  Talk about all the comforts of home.  Took "Toot" to shore, walked the clam beaches and explored a rustic cabin.  Talked to a couple who are into their 5th summer of exploring the inside passage in their sailboat.  He suggested several places that one could pull out of the weather along the Queen Charlotte Sound crossing.  We took mental notes and went back to the boat to sketch out our crossing plan and wait for a weather update.  Just before bed, listened to forecast and learned that winds were no longer forecast to be gale strength but would still be blowing in the am.  The problem is that if you don't go now, it could be several more days before a good opportunity opens up.  We decided to get up early and make our decision in the am.
