On Shore at Shearwater

From Fury Cove we make the decision to go to Ocean Falls.  We set a course down Fitz Hugh Sound in perfectly calm waters.  We have never been to Ocean Falls before and understand that it is an interesting abandoned paper mill town that is being revived as a tourist attraction.  It is true that the most recent guide books we have aboard are from 2014 -- they talk of a pub, a store and a gift shop in addition to a public dock.  It all sounds good.
As we pass Gunboat Passage (the most direct route to Shearwater from where we are), I pull up Active Captain information from 2016.  Everyone agrees that the dock is nice but they also agree the store is permanently closed and the pub is only open 3 days a week (and not today).  We revise our plan and turn into Gunboat Passage and make tracks for Shearwater where we know the docks are nice, the store is open and the restaurant will be serving dinner tonight.  Easy choice.
